A clear alternative to braces

Invisalign

At Dr. Johnson's New Albany, OH, dental office, we offer Invisalign tooth straightening as a clear alternative to traditional braces. Invisalign uses a series of nearly undetectable aligners to move your teeth closer to the desired result. You will wear each set of aligners for about two weeks, and each new set will move your teeth incrementally. The aligners are removable during activities such as eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing but must be worn for at least 23 hours each day to align your teeth successfully.

During your first visit, impressions of your teeth will be taken to create a full set of aligners. We will instruct you on how to care for your aligners, and regular checkups and cleanings combined with good oral hygiene are essential for success. We will complete further diagnostic analysis to verify that Invisalign will work for you and create a treatment plan that determines exactly how your teeth will be straightened. We will let you know if you qualify for orthodontic insurance benefits and the estimated cost and length of treatment.

Invisalign is more comfortable than traditional braces because there are no metal wires or brackets. You can still enjoy your favorite foods and smile without holding back. Invisalign has proven effective at straightening teeth in clinical research and orthodontic practices nationwide. Treatment takes about the same length as traditional braces, and we will arrange for check-up appointments every six weeks to ensure treatment is progressing as predicted. We will design a retention plan to help you keep your smile for life.

Invisalign takes a modern approach to straighten teeth, using a custom-made series of aligners created for you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable, and virtually invisible plastic worn over your teeth. Wearing the aligners will gradually and gently shift your teeth into place based on the exact movements planned by Dr. Johnson. There are no metal brackets to attach or wires to tighten. You pop in a new set of aligners approximately every two weeks until your treatment is complete and you achieve the confident smile you've always wanted.
